I am cinema - artist-to-artist program
The I AM CINEMA Artist-to-Artist Program is a cross-disciplinary mentorship initiative connecting emerging filmmakers with experienced working professionals committed to personal vision cinema.
Through mentorship, guidance, and artistic dialogue, participants gain access to the knowledge, experience, and creative lineage that have sustained cinema for generations.
Together, mentors and mentees help preserve cinema as a living artistic tradition while cultivating the next generation of bold, humanistic, personally authorized work.
i am cinema - DISTILLATION LAB
Short films require writers to distill an idea, emotion, or experience to its most essential cinematic form.
DISTILLATION is for writers with a completed short screenplay under 30 pages who want to dig deeper into what makes their film personal, intentional, and distinctly cinematic.
This isn't about applying a formula or simply “fixing” a script. It's about discovering what is most alive within the work and making sure every element serves the film you actually want to make.
i am cinema - IMMERSION LAB
Features give writers room to immerse themselves more deeply in character, intention, cinematic language, rhythm, structure, and world.
IMMERSION is for writers who arrive with a completed feature screenplay and want the time, space, and individualized attention to explore what their film can become.
Rather than pushing the screenplay toward formula or market expectations, the lab asks a different set of questions:
What is this film really trying to do?
What makes it yours?
And how can every element of cinema help you express it?
