i am cinema
WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED.
This is the beginning. There’s much more to come.
I AM CINEMA is building a new kind of home for cinematic artists and audiences — one rooted in personal vision, artistic risk, and human connection.
We’re beginning deliberately, launching a few programs at a time while we build the larger community, resources, and programming that will grow around them.
WHERE WE ARE STARTING
i am cinema - film seminars
Go deeper into the art and craft of cinema.
I AM CINEMA presents regular, film clip based, audience interactive seminars on the BIG screen and online that address every aspect of cinematic creation. We believe in fostering a more comprehensive and artistic understanding of all the components that come together to create the full spectrum of cinematic experience - cinematography, color orchestration, editing, mise-en-scene (composition), performance, production design, sound design, writing and everything else in between!
I am cinema - PROJECT Fiscal Sponsorship
Helping personal cinema find the support to exist.
The I AM CINEMA provides fiscal sponsorship for select independent film projects that align with our mission and commitment to personally authored, humanistic, and artistically ambitious cinema.
Through fiscal sponsorship, eligible filmmakers can pursue charitable contributions and grant opportunities while remaining focused on bringing their work into the world.
AND WE’RE BUILDING FROM HERE.
I Am Cinema is more than a collection of programs. We’re building an ongoing place for artists and audiences to discover, learn, connect, and participate in a larger culture of cinema.
FOR THE AUDIENCE
Audience participation is part of the future of cinema.
A place to discover what’s happening throughout I Am Cinema — upcoming screenings, seminars, conversations, events, essays, news, and highlights of films and cinematic artists we believe are worth knowing.
THE CINETORIUM
Watch. Listen. Learn. Explore.
The Cinetorium will become I Am Cinema’s growing library of cinematic ideas — featuring video from our Film Seminars, artist conversations, discussions, excerpts, educational resources, and other material devoted to the art and craft of filmmaking.
A place to return to whenever you want to go deeper into cinema.
ON THE HORIZON
We’re developing the next generation of I Am Cinema programs — creating more ways for cinematic artists to develop their voices, learn from one another, find meaningful support, and bring personal work into the world.
Future programs include our Writing Labs, Artist-to-Artist program, Cinematic Artists Registry, screenings and discussion series, and other initiatives currently taking shape.
We’ll introduce them thoughtfully as I Am Cinema grows.
grow with us
I AM CINEMA is being built one program, one artist, one audience member, and one relationship at a time.
If you believe cinema should remain a place for personal vision, artistic risk, human complexity, and genuine connection, we invite you to be part of what we’re building.
